JUDr. Irena Valíčková, MBA

Irena graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, where she earned a Master’s degree in Law and Legal Science. She subsequently defended her rigorous thesis at the Department of Labour Law at Masaryk University and was awarded the title Doctor of Laws (JUDr.). She is also a graduate of the MBA – Master of Business Administration – program specializing in Human Resource Management. She is currently pursuing a doctoral (Ph.D.) program at the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague.

After gaining practical experience, she and her husband built their own law firm almost "from scratch." Since its inception, the firm has focused on providing comprehensive legal services. Today, the practice covers a broad spectrum of legal fields, ranging from labour law, commercial and criminal law to real estate, mergers, and family law, and has become a highly respected law firm. Its ambition is to provide legal advice that meets current market needs and trends, with a strong emphasis on quality, expertise, and a personal approach.

Irena is an expert in labour law and related issues, particularly illegal and agency employment. Thanks to her many years of experience in legal consulting and training, she has established herself as a recognized specialist who not only delivers high-quality legal services but also actively participates in education and training, having worked with over 20,000 participants. This makes her one of the leading professionals in her field.

In addition to her legal practice, she also serves as the managing director of the family-owned educational company TSM, spol. s r.o., representing the second generation of leadership in a business with a tradition dating back to 1990. The combination of legal practice with an extensive network of top professionals and lecturers across various areas of law enables her firm to offer exceptionally high-quality legal services with an emphasis on expertise, added value, and practical benefit.

She is fluent in German (having earned the Zertifikat Deutsch and Mittelstufe Deutsch) and has a working knowledge of English. She also has a basic understanding of Latin.

She is the founder of the Legal Clinic project under the auspices of her law firm, which aims to help people in difficult economic situations. She is also the creator of the concept "Kickstart Your Business Success," which supports aspiring entrepreneurs. From the age of 18, Irena was engaged in business alongside her studies, having established an e-shop and a brick-and-mortar store offering home accessories. She eventually left the business world upon completing her university education to fully dedicate herself to founding her own law firm.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing sports, and walking in nature—especially in the forests around northern Brno. Her favourite places include Italy, the rolling vineyards of Tuscany and Valdobbiadene, and Thailand for its unmistakable and authentic atmosphere. She loves Italian and Thai cuisine, but she finds her greatest sense of relaxation in walks through the forests of Moravia.

Her personal motto throughout her professional journey is "Per aspera ad astra" ("Through hardships to the stars"). The firm’s motto is "The Power of Partnership", reflecting her belief that true strength lies in partnership. This is evident in her personal life through the co-founding of the law firm with her husband, in the collaboration within her specialized and team-oriented office, which allows the firm to provide top-tier, comprehensive legal advice, and in the firm’s relationships with clients, where partnership means access to first-class legal service.

JUDr. Adam Valíček, MBA

Adam graduated from the Faculty of Law at Palacký University in Olomouc, where he earned a Master of Laws (Mgr.) degree in the field of Law and Legal Science. He defended his thesis at the Department of Civil Law. Subsequently, he defended his rigorous thesis in Labour Law at the Department of Labour Law and Social Security at Masaryk University in Brno, obtaining the title Doctor of Laws (JUDr.). He is also a graduate of the MBA – Master of Business Administration – programme in Human Resource Management. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law at the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague.

After gaining practical experience, he and his wife Irena built from scratch a now-renowned and award-winning law firm, where he serves as an attorney and managing partner. They established the firm with a vision of providing comprehensive legal services. Today, the firm offers legal support not only in labour law but also in commercial law, criminal law, real estate law, mergers and acquisitions, family law, and more.

Beyond his legal practice, Adam is also active as a lecturer in labour law, GDPR, and civil law. More than twenty thousand attendees have taken part in his training sessions. Adam also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of their family business – the educational centre TSM, spol. s r.o., a company with a tradition dating back to 1990.

In his free time, he is a member of the editorial board of the quarterly journal AD REM, intended for HR professionals, to which he regularly contributes expert articles on labour law. He is also a regular contributor to the online platforms Epravo.cz, Idnes.cz, Peníze.cz, Metro, HR News, Prima CNN News, TV Nova, among others. Adam frequently provides expert commentary on television, particularly in the field of labour law. He is the founder and a member of the Council of Experts of the Union of HR Professionals and a member of the Expert Panel of the Association for the Development of Collective Bargaining and Labour Relations.

Adam speaks fluent English and conversational Russian. He also has a basic knowledge of Latin. He is the author of labour law templates for the ASPI legal system by Wolters Kluwer, a.s.

Adam’s hobbies include hiking, wine and rum collecting (especially investment rums), travelling, sports, and cooking for friends and family. Together with his wife Irena, they share a passion for Italian cuisine and Thailand.

Mgr. Miroslav Papoušek

Mirek graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno, where he gained the title of the master at law in the field of the Law and Legal Science. He successfully defended his diploma thesis at the Labour Law Department. He currently intends to write a doctoral thesis at the Labour Law Department of the Masaryk University and thus gain the title of the doctor at law.

He completed the practice as an attorney trainee in the Law Office of Mgr. Eva Kocmanová in Brno.

He has gained practical experience since 2011, when he in the course of years operated in the Law Office of Mgr. Roman Keznikl and he is also experienced in execution proceedings due to his practice at the Execution Office Brno-City of the court executor Mgr. Ing. Josef Cingroš.

He speaks fluent English, and he is in a partial command of German. In the past, he also started to study basics of French and he would like to return to it in the future.

Within his practice, Mirek especially focuses on labour, civil, family and criminal law. In his practice Mirek is fulfilled especially by litigations before courts and finding of complex solutions for clients.

His hobbies include guitar playing and sport of any kind, especially racket sports (tennis and badminton), biking, and earlier he was also actively engaged in Thai boxing. Mirek is also an enthusiastic homebrewer, which means he likes to cook his own beer.

Mgr. Marek Němeček

Marek Němeček is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Palacký University in Olomouc, where he in 2018 gained the title of the master at law in the field of the Law and Legal Science. He successfully defended a diploma thesis at the Private Law and Civil Proceedings Department. For one semester he studied at the Italian Universita degli Studi di Ferrara, where he engaged himself mainly in the studies of the European and international law.

During his studies he gained practical experience as an intern at the District Court in Kroměříž and as an intern in the law office Krejčí, Rajf & partneři, s.r.o., advokátní kancelář, in Brno.

Po absolvování právnické fakulty působil na pozici advokátního koncipienta v SCHREIBER & PARTNER, advokátní kancelář s.r.o., kdy jeho školitelem byl JUDr. Ing. Pavel Schreiber, advokát.

Within his practice, he focuses especially on civil, business, labour and criminal law. He likes the heterogeneity of working in advocacy, and therefore he does not avoid any legal area.

Marek´s biggest hobby is sport, both in the position of an active player and a fan. He engaged himself in football at the level of the Moravian-Silesian student and junior league. He is a passionate fan of Arsenal and an admirer of the football player Zlato Ibrahimovic. Marek´s other hobbies are travelling, history, getting-together with friends and Italian cuisine.

He speaks English and Italian, he also has a command of basics of German.

Mgr. Kateřina Kolářová Justová

Katka graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno, where she received a Master of Laws degree in the field of Law and Legal science. She defended her diploma thesis at the Department of Criminal Law. She gained experience as an attorney trainee in the law office of JUDr. Karel Maláska in Tišnov.

She also gained practical experience in the judiciary. She also provides an assistance to victims of crime.

Katka speaks English and would like to return to studying French.

She focuses on civil law, especially family law, real estate, construction law and criminal law. She tries to maintain a personal and sensitive approach to clients in her practice. She passed the bar exam in 2015 with honours.

Katka likes jogging, riding a bike, swimming and she would like to return to sport climbing. She is an enthusiastic breeder of wire-haired dachshunds she has an understanding of gamekeeping and likes to spend time in nature. She is a deputy mayor in a small village in the heart of Vysočina region.

She practices law as a cooperating attorney-at-law in Valíček & Valíčková, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o.

Mgr. Marika Dlouhá

Marika is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno. She has always been very attracted to advocacy, which is why she started working as a paralegal in a renowned law firm during her studies, where she dealt with debt collection and real estate law. During her attorney trainee practice, she gained a lot of experience in representing clients in civil, criminal and administrative proceedings.

In 2013 she successfully passed the bar exams and since then she has been practicing advocacy. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, playing tennis and taking caravan trips with her family.

Mgr. Hana Zemanová Šimonová, Ph.D., LL.M.

Hana graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, earning a Master of Laws degree in Law and Legal Science. She defended her thesis at the Department of Commercial Law. She is a graduate of the LL.M. program, Master of Laws in Czech Business Law in the European Union. Subsequently, she completed her doctoral studies at the Department of Labour Law and Social Security Law at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno. She successfully passed the state doctoral examination and defended her dissertation on the topic "Protection of Privacy and Personal Data of Employees," earning her the academic degree of Ph.D.

She gained experience as an associate at the prestigious law firm Bulinský, Mach & Vávra (later Bulinský & Vávra, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o.) in Brno. After passing the bar exam, she continued as a cooperating attorney at law, subsequently becoming a partner in 2015. Since 2021, she has operated independently, primarily focusing on commercial and employment law. Since January 2024, she has been a cooperating attorney at law of the office Valíček & Valíčková, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o.

Hana specializes in commercial law and does not hesitate to solve any problems that arise in the operation of a company and business, with a particular focus on contract and corporate law. Her other areas of expertise are employment law, data protection law and real estate law. Hana's professional engagements extend to conducting training sessions, where she primarily educates clients' employees on matters related to employment and commercial law. Furthermore, she actively contributes to the legal literature through her publications, with her articles featured in esteemed publications like the Bulletin of Advocacy.

She offers legal services in Czech, German, and English.

Outside of her legal career, Hana enjoys yoga, travel, and long-distance trekking. Notable experiences include the legendary Inca-Trail to Machu Picchu and a solo walking pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in 2023. Her hobbies include reading, watching art films, and taking long walks with her dog, Woody.

JUDr. Markéta Kubričanová

Markéta graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague, where she first obtained her Master's degree in Law and Legal Science, and subsequently passed the state rigorous examination in Civil Procedural Law earning the JUDr. degree.

She gained her first practical legal experience during studies as an intern in the legal department of the ING Czech Republic group, focusing primarily on corporate law. She then joined the law firm of Mgr. Karolina Panská as a legal intern, where she also completed her legal clerkship and continued to collaborate for many years.

Markéta has been practicing law since 2006 and has been an independent attorney since 2013. She collaborated with the law firm Ciprýn, Kiršner & Partners s.r.o. for nearly 2 years.

Throughout her professional career, Markéta has engaged in general practice, focusing mainly on civil law, family law, real estate law, and contractual matters. What she values the most is the diversity of general legal practice, which she encounters in her work. With years of experience as an independent attorney and daily direct interaction with clients, Markéta values a personalized and empathetic approach to each client.

Markéta consistently collaborates with the law firm Valíček & Valíčková, law firm, s.r.o. in its Prague branch.

In her free time, Markéta enjoys spending time with her family, is a member of Sokol, loves tea, enjoys reading (recently mainly contemporary Czech literature) and baking.

Mgr. Jana Štěpničková Strachová

Jana is a graduate of Masaryk University in Brno, where she earned a Master's degree in Law and Legal Science from the Faculty of Law, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, European Studies, and Journalism, Media Studies from the Faculty of Social Studies.

During her studies, she took an interest in copyright law and the protection of journalists' confidential sources. She also focused on the issue of domestic violence, providing legal support to multidisciplinary projects and conferences under the auspices of the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University.

She completed her attorney trainee practice in a Prague law firm that provides services to both domestic and international clients in the fields of corporate law and real estate law. Since 2014, she has been an independent attorney, currently practicing in Prague and Beroun. In addition to real estate law and corporate law, she is intensively involved in all areas of civil law, especially family law.

A deeper interest in understanding interpersonal relationships, particularly all aspects of negotiation and agreement-making, led her to study mediation. In 2022, she passed the registered mediator exam at the Czech Bar Association. Since then, she has also been practicing mediation, focusing on family relationships and conflicts in work teams.

She provides legal services in both Czech and English and she also speaks German. She now permanently collaborates with the law firm Valíček & Valíčková, advokátní kancelář s.r.o.

In her free time, Jana dedicates herself primarily to her family, which includes her dog, a Border Collie named Champy. She enjoys hiking, reading fine literature (especially sci-fi and fantasy), and photography.

Mgr. Milan Hrkalík

Milan Hrkalík graduated from Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in 2018, where he passed the final state exams and defended his thesis „The Development of the Military Administration“. During his studies he gained experience as paralegal at law office and as trainee at legal division of bailiff's office.

Milan then worked as a junior lawyer at legal division of bailiff's office and also as a junior lawyer in the law office focusing on legal services in all areas of law. He successfully passed the Bar Examination under the Czech Bar Association in June 2022 and continued working in the law office focusing on legal services in all areas of law as attorney at law. Afterwards, he worked as an attorney at law in the real estate team at DRV Legal, s.r.o. law firm.

He is engaged in general practice with a focus on civil law, real estate law and contractual matters.

Since April 2025 has been a working in law firm Valíček & Valíčková, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o., as an attorney at law.

In his spare time he likes to travel and discover new places, for example on foot in the mountains or from the saddle of a motorcycle. He is also interested in history and folklore, which he has been passionate about for a long time.

Milan speaks English.

Mgr. Michal Neřád

Michal graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, where he was awarded the Master of Laws degree in 2021 in the field of Law and Legal Science. He completed his studies by defending a thesis on the topic of The Assessment of the Price of Real Estate and its Application in the Civil Law.

During his studies, Michal gained practical experience as an intern at the general practice law firm of Mgr. Miloslav Jančík in Zlín. He subsequently completed his entire legal trainee practice at the law firm Wimětal & Partners, s.r.o., where he deepened his knowledge across all areas of law. Under the guidance of JUDr. Milan Staněk, he acquired extensive experience in criminal law.

After passing the bar exam in April 2025, Michal expanded the team of experienced attorneys at our firm. In his practice, he provides legal services in all branches of law, with a particular interest in defending his clients and representing victims in criminal proceedings, administrative offence law, and civil law – especially litigation and the representation of clients in court proceedings.

In his free time, Michal enjoys sports and is interested in current affairs and politics. In the past, he studied political science at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University for three semesters before fully dedicating himself to the legal profession.

Michal speaks English and has a passive knowledge of basic German.

Mgr. Štěpánka Frimlová

Štěpánka is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno. During her studies she has already attended several legal internships, where she gained valuable experience in practice. In addition to her internship at our law firm, she also completed an internship at a law firm focused on insolvency law and a one-month internship at the Municipal Court in Brno. During the last year of her studies she also held the position of research assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure Law.

She mostly focuses on the areas of civil, criminal and insolvency law. She also focused on insolvency law in her thesis entitled "Verifying and Proving Bankruptcy".

Štěpánka is fluent in English and also studied German during her studies. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports and spending time with her cat or friends at musical performances.

Mgr. Martin Kubálek

Martin is a graduate of Masaryk University's Faculty of Law, where he successfully completed his master's degree in 2025, focusing primarily on european and labour law. During his master's studies, he devoted himself to publishing and professional activities, including active participation in the COFOLA conference, particularly with contributions on the privileges and immunities of EU political institutions and the future of broader harmonization of labour law. His research thus straddled the boundary between law and politics, which contributed to the development of his professional interest in issues where legal science intersects with political processes.

He also gained practical experience in this area during an internship at the Parliament of the Czech Republic and through his involvement in student scientific and professional activities, where he defended his student scientific and professional work at a high-level international competition, which enabled him to obtain a scholarship for further research on the subject. These experiences now form a solid foundation for his further work in legal practice, as well as for his doctoral studies at the Department of International and European Law. There, he will focus on the importance of the rule of law in the context of national identity protection of EU member states.

In his free time, he enjoys squash, sommelierism or traveling. He loves discovering French cuisine, which he also enthusiastically prepares.

Barbora Kusá

Barbora is a fourth year student at Faculty of Law at Masaryk’s University in Brno. During her studies she was mostly interested in civil law, commercial law and anti-discrimination law. She attained an FCE certificate on a C1 level and speaks french.

Outside of her studies she mostly enjoys doing sports, reading books and spending time in nature. She likes to dance, play tennis or do yoga. She also enjoys travelling, especially to sea.

Vít Bednář

Vít is in the third year of his legal studies at Masaryk University’s Faculty of Law. So far, he has found IP law and art law to be the most intriguing.Alongside his studies, he has also been involved in leading the faculty's largest student organisation.

He is a Cambridge English C2 Proficiency certificate holder and is also comfortable speaking English in a variety of accents.

In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, reading and travelling.Heoccasionally engages in media production as a creative outlet as well.

Jakub Komzala

Jakub is a student of the second year of the Law faculty of Masaryk University. During his studies he focused his attention primarily at international and european law. At the faculty, he has developed a passion for public speaking, especially taking part in moot court competitions, which led his team to victory in the international final of the International Moot Court Competition against Université de Rennes.

He is interested in learning new languages, already being able to speak fluently in english and spanish. As far as spending his free time goes, he loves sports, cooking and travelling.

Roman Prachař

Roman is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno. Before joining our law firm, he gained experience as an intern at the Supreme Administrative Court and at the notary office of Mgr. Jana Hyráková in Brno.

He is particularly interested in commercial law, private international and trade law, as well as construction law. Thanks to his diverse experiences, he has clarified which areas of law he would like to focus on more in the future.

He speaks English. In his free time, he enjoys reading, engaging in folklore, following Formula 1, and spending time in nature.

Ing. Lenka Švédová

Lenka graduated from Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Business and Management, where she received the title of engineer in the field of Corporate Finance and Business. She has many years of experience in administration, economics and controlling, both in the public and private sectors.

In her free time, she enjoys sports, especially yoga, a healthy lifestyle and breeding exotic terrarium animals.

 

Mgr. Soňa Hrdličková

Soňa graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno. After graduating from the university, for many years she worked at the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno.

Her hobbies include history, travelling and reading especially a good historic novel or a non-fiction. She likes to spend her free time with her family, taking trips to nature, sightseeing and exploring zoos, which is a great passion of her children.

Mgr. Kateřina Mrňová

Kateřina graduated from the Masaryk University in Brno. She then studied in Germany at the Ludwig-Maxmilians-Universität in Munich and at the University of Hamburg. In the Czech Republic, she subsequently acted mainly as an interpereter, which nicely combined work with her passion for traveling. After maternity leave, she fully concentrated on working in administration in the private sector as an office manager.

On weekdays, after working in the office, she likes to play tennis or practice yoga. When she has more free time, she prefers to spend it actively in nature: she likes hiking, swimming, cycling or cross-country skiing. However, she also enjoys good rest with a fine book and quality coffee or wine.

Katarína Konečná

Katarina is an assistant at our law firm. After studying high school and post-secondary studies in English, she worked for several years as an assistant at the Brno branch of the TSM spol. s r.o. educational agency and in recent years has devoted herself fully to her two sons.

Family comes first for her and she loves to spend her free time with them. Her greatest relaxation is nature, any creative manual activity, contact with animals and sports (e.g. yoga, pilates, in-line), but especially cycling or hiking, ideally somewhere under a tent and away from civilization.

Mgr. Michal Knecht

A lecturer, advisor, and consultant in the area of construction law and real estate. He pays attention to this area of course also during his lectures. 

After graduating from the faculty of law he worked at the section of property of the Regional Office of the South-Moravian Region. In 2006 he started to work as the chief of the zoning procedure and the building code section of the Municipal Office Tišnov. He gives lectures on regular basis and has cooperated in the area of construction law with many private entities, territorially self-governing units and administrative bodies. He also cooperates with law offices. His lecturing programmes are accredited by the Ministry of the Interior. He also engages in publishing activity and he is a member of the Czech Construction Law Society.

Josef Marčík

Josef handles the graphics and marketing in our law office.
