JUDr. Irena Valíčková, MBA
Irena graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno, where she obtained the title of the master at law in the field of the Law and Legal Science. She successfully defended her diploma thesis at the Labour Law Department. After that she successfully defended her doctoral thesis at the Labour Law Department of the Masaryk University in Brno and obtained the title of the doctor at law. She is a graduate of the MBA programme – Master of Business Administration – human resources management. She is currently in a doctoral study programme (Ph.D.) at the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague.
She completed her practice as an attorney trainee in the Joint Law Office in Brno under the supervision of JUDr. Miloslav Petržela, JUDr. Ludvík Ševčík, JUDr. Vladimír Kristýn, JUDr. Kárim Titz, Mgr. Petr Kubica, JUDr. Daniel Ševčík, Ph.D., Mgr. Václav Rožec, JUDr. Ludvík Ševčík, jr., and JUDr. Martin Machač.
She gained practical experience during her student practice in the law office Havel, Holásek & Partners s.r.o., advokátní kancelář, the educational agency TSM, spol. s r.o., with which she cooperates as a lecturer to today, and also in an on-line legal advisory centre.
Irena has been a member of the Accreditation Committee of the Ministry of the Interior. She is a founder and a member of the Experts Council of the Union of Personalists and a member of the Experts Collegium of the Association for the Development of Collective Bargaining and Labour Relationships. Irena is also an author of labour law model drafts for the legal system ASPI by Wolters Kluwer, a.s. She has given lectures at trade shows in Prague (INCHEBA EXPO Prague) LINGUA SHOW and JOBS EXPO.
Given that Irena likes to transfer experience from practice, she was also dedicated to lecturing activities in the legal area for Brno University of Technology. Today she actively operates as a lecturer of labour law, GDPR and civil law, and more than ten thousand of trainees have already gone through her trainings. In her free time she is active as a member of the editorial council of the quarterly magazine AD REM designated for personalists, where she contributes on a regular basis with her professional articles from the area of labour law. She also regularly publishes on the server Epravo.cz, Idnes.cz, Penize.cz, Metro, HR News etc. Irena also provides interviews for television, most often in the labour law area.
She speaks fluent German (she has obtained Zertifikat Deutsch and Mittelstufe Deutsch) and she has a command of English at a communicational level. She knows the basics of Latin.
Within her practice, Irena focuses especially on labour, civil, business and family law.
Her hobbies are time spent with family, walks in the nature, travelling, sport, Italian cuisine, and wine tasting (especially in the picturesque wine cellars of Southern Moravia, and also with her friends in favourite Tuscany, and at the sun soaked top of Cartizze in Italy). Since childhood she has been active as an aerobic instructor, which started her lifelong love for sport. She practices advocacy as a shareholder and a managing attorney at law of the law office Valíček & Valíčková, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o.
She is a founder of the project Legal clinic under her law office, which helps people who have found themselves in an oppressive economic situation. She is also the creator of Start your successful business, which helps to beginning entrepreneurs. Irena has engaged herself in business since she was 18 years old, when she created a small e-shop, which expanded within a few months into a successfully operating and well-known e-shop. Due to her graduation from university she left the world of sales and entrepreneurship and she established her own law office with full taste and enthusiasm.
She has passed the bar exam with the evaluation excellent.
Motto: “Per aspera ad astra” (through obstacles to the stars). This motto has accompanied Irena in her whole profession. She started to practice advocacy without a sole client “from scratch”, where after the intensive work she developed a stable and well operating law office, thanks to the trust of her clients.
